Fort Hood’s 1st Cavalry Division Band to Host Halloween Spooktacular
What have you got planned for Halloween? Maybe you can squeeze in a drive-in concert. There will be candy....and music.
According to the press release, Fort Hood's 1st Cavalry Division Rock Band will host a drive-in Halloween Spooktacular in the parking lot of Fort Hood Stadium this Saturday. The 1st Cavalry Division’s Horse Cavalry Detachment is also scheduled to perform. Fort Hood USO will hand out candy to cars entering the event. Gates will open at 11AM, music starts at 12p and ends at 1:30p.
That's a perfect time frame, as you'll still have time to trick-or-treat later in the evening.
Capt. Taylor Criswell, Commander of the 1st Cavalry Division Band, says, “We will be spacing out the vehicle parking, providing hand sanitizing stations, and sanitizing the restrooms throughout the course of the concert. We just ask that you remain in the area near your vehicle for the duration of the show unless you are moving to or from the restrooms in the stadium."
COVID-19 safety protocols are in effect and you are encouraged to dress up in your Halloween costume. You'll need to bring your own food and beverages, but keep in mind no alcohol is going to be permitted.
This band will showcase a wide variety of music from artists such as Bill Withers, ZZ Top, Drake, Evanescence, and the Foo Fighters.
Saturday's weather should be almost perfect here in Central Texas, sunny skies and 75.
