Help Clean Up Ferguson Park in Temple
The City of Temple will host a cleanup event in the Ferguson Park Neighborhood this Saturday. It will be hosted by the Transform Temple Department and the Stormwater Program.
Temple’s Resource & Volunteer Coordinator Jo-Ell Guzman said, “This cleanup event is an opportunity for volunteers and neighbors who are interested in helping their community. Clean up events can positively impact a neighborhood and demonstrates to members of the community that they are cared for and that the spaces they live in are important.”
So if you happen to be able to help residents with some yard or home maintenance, or maybe you can paint, handle small repairs, or actually like cleaning gutters, raking leaves, and removing trash and debris then the city would love your help.
The press release thanks to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor students and community for sending volunteers. The city also thanks Walmart for providing food and water for the volunteers. See, if ya volunteer they'll take good care of ya!
Oh, one more thing. If it rains we change the date. There is a chance for rain on Saturday in the latest forecast. Reach out to Jo-Rll Guzman, in the Transform Temple Office at 254-298-5712 for more information.
