Both Bowl locations were awarded on one ballot with 75% of teams approving the locations. That’s the first single-ballot awarding of a Super Bowl since Arizona was chosen in 2003.

Super Bowl 50 will be played at Levi’s Stadium, the new home of the 49’s that is currently under construction. Miami was in the top three cities under consideration as well, but Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was not able to secure state funding necessary to update his team’s 26-year-old stadium.
