Two suspects are in custody after a woman says one of them drugged her during a date in Tennessee and she woke up in a Texas hotel room days later. Fortunately, she was able to escape and flag down police.

News4SanAntonio.com reports the victim's name is Jennifer Rodriguez. The 27-year-old female escaped from a San Antonio motel room around 3:30 a.m. She soon realized she was near the San Antonio Internation Airport and was able to flag down a police officer.

Rodriguez told police she had met a man named Mark Saulsberry in Kentucky and agreed to go on a date Tuesday night. They met in Tennessee for that date during which Saulsberry suggested she could make lots of money going on dates with multiple men. Red flag. Later that evening she started to feel disoriented. Rodriguez told police Saulsberry had bought her drinks that evening. When she woke up, it was days later and she wasn't in Tennessee.

Can you imagine waiting for the strangers in the room to fall asleep and then running for your life? That was Jennifer's plan and thankfully it worked.

Saulsberry was with a 26-year-old woman named Charlotte Ulrich. Both are being charged with trafficking an individual. The second-degree felony could mean up to 20 years in jail and a $10,000 fine. The Rape Crisis Center in San Antonio was giving Jennifer assistance as police try to figure out what Saulsberry was planning to do with Rodriguez. Police don't know why he brought her to San Antonio.

To add a strange twist to the story, Saulsberry denies the trafficking allegations and says he spent part of his childhood with Rodriguez. News4SA reports Saulsberry told the police, "I woke up at 4 a.m. and I was arrested. We didn't do anything wrong. Y'all said we human trafficked people but we didn't do that. We didn't traffic a girl. I work a full-time job."
