Inclusive Bandages are Finally Coming
Bandages are not that fashionable, but now you may have an easier time concealing them.
According to a report from WLKY, Johnson & Johnson, the company behind name brand Band-Aids, have promised to produce a more inclusive range of skin tones for their bandages.
In a statement posted to their Instagram, the company wrote, "We are committed to launching a range of bandages in light, medium and deep shades of Brown and Black skin tones that embrace the beauty of diverse skin. We are dedicated to inclusivity and providing the best healing solutions, better representing you."
For years we've had the same color bandages, up until the clear band-aids were released. Honestly those weren't that cute though. Now you can find a bandage that matches your skin color more closely, and it won't be as obvious.
The company also announced that they will be making a donation to #blacklivesmatter.
"We promise that this is just the first among many steps together in the fight against systemic racism."
How do you feel about new colored bandages coming out?
