"Call The Midwife" was a book from 2002 that told the story of real life nurses in the 1950's and their experiences with patients. It even inspired a television series. There's a dedication from the women in this field that is second to none. Here's an example from right here in Texas.

Cathy Allen Rude who owns the Katy Birth Center in Houston Texas wasn't going to let high water come between her and her patients during the recent floods. Instead of being stuck at home, she took an inflatable Swan to work!

Cathy wrote on social media "Midwives will do anything to get to work. Riding a swan to get off my flooded street and make it to the birth center! Thanks, Celeste! You gave me a great ride!”
