The Best Romantic Movies for a Cozy Texas Valentine’s Day
Love and Movies: A Timeless Tradition
After 40 years with the love of my life, my wife and I still cherish sitting together and watching some of our favorite movies about love. While we both have different tastes, sometimes she gives in to watching my favorites. But, most of the time I give in to watching her favorites.
What Makes a Movie Truly Romantic?
So what does the movie have to be about in order to qualify as a motion picture about love? For me, it has to be about just that, LOVE. While most movies I've experienced deal with either heartbreak or the loss of a loved one, my favorite film of all time is "The Notebook".

Yes, I know it is sad, and it is not one of my wife's favorite movies. She's sat through it a few times over the past 20 years. Nonetheless, I take much pride in knowing what my wife's top five favorite romantic movies are.
Knowing Your Partner’s Favorite Love Story
I firmly believe that if you're going to be in a relationship forever you must know his or her favorite color, favorite food, favorite coffee flavor, and favorite sweater. You must also know your sweetheart's favorite movies.
Here are my all time favorite romantic movies that touch my heart, like she does. One film we both dearly love although it is an old movie (from 1957). We own all our favorites on both VCR tape and DVD. As I was loading the trailer for "The Notebook" it started playing and I started crying. Wow! I love my wife and I don't like the way 'The Notebook' ends nonetheless, it's a vivid reminder as to how much I love spending time with her just like in the movie.
