$30 Texas Lottery Ticket Turns Into $1 Million Payday
One lucky Texan just turned $30 into $1 million thanks to the Texas Lottery. If you’re willing to press your luck, you just might be next.
I don’t know about you, but I know a couple of people who win things all the time. It seems like every time I turn around, I hear about some cool prize or huge jackpot they won. Admittedly, I’m jealous as all get out because I never win anything.

That said, those folks tend to gamble quite a bit, so ultimately, they probably lose more than they win when all is said and done. I would imagine that’s not the case for an anonymous Pasadena resident. Maybe they’ve gambled more than $1 million in their lifetime, but I highly doubt it.
The player hit the jackpot in the Premier Play scratch ticket game. The lucky ticket was sold at Motu Food Mart, located at 4900 Space Center Blvd., in Pasadena, according to a press release. This means the retailer has a shot at $10,000 for selling the winning ticket, thanks to the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
As of today, there are still five $1 million prizes to be claimed in the game. Additionally, there are still seven $25,000 prizes that have yet to be claimed. The overall odds of winning a prize in Premier Play are one in 3.55, including breakeven prizes.
Aside from awarding billions of dollars in prizes to players since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has also given billions of dollars to support education in the Lone Star State, as well as Texas veterans.
