I can’t love this display of state pride at a Texas Walmart enough. What can I say? We’re taught to love our home from a very young age.

I know some people will think the number of Texas-themed products in the below video is a bit too much. I call those people “not Texans.” There is no such thing as “too Texas” for those of us from the Lone Star State.

Just watching the clip warmed my heart. I guarantee you the hair on my arms would stand straight up the moment I physically walked into that Walmart. It’s like the next best thing to Heaven.

The thing the video hammers home, in my opinion, is that the culture here is just different. While I haven’t been to all 50 U.S. states, I’ve visited many of them over the years, and I’ve never seen a display of state pride like that anywhere else.

If you’re not from here, you might mistake Texas-shaped waffle makers and whatnot as a sign of narcissism, but that’s not the case. It’s just that we like to wear our love for the Lone Star State on our sleeves.

And I’ll be the first to admit that our state is far from perfect. But there’s nowhere else I would rather call home.
