Save 50% At AMC Theaters Every Wednesday This Summer

(Mix 93-1) Going to the movies has always been an expensive outing, but more so lately than in the past, it seems.

With ticket prices beginning at 10 dollars for a regular screen to 15 dollars for an IMAX screen, tickets can get expensive quickly.

Then, when you add in soft drinks, popcorn, or any other kind of snack, you could be spending nearly 60 dollars for two people to see a flick.

If you're a movie lover and go often, you're accustomed to this by now. For those who are occasional movie-goers, it's quite the sticker shock.

I can honestly say that it has been more than five years since I've set foot in a theater to watch a movie. The last time I was in an actual theater was before the pandemic. My wife and daughter, on the other hand, will occasionally hit up the theater.

50% Off Wednesdays Hits AMC Theaters

Here's the deal of the summer. The AMC Theaters chain announced that it's making movie going more affordable later this summer with a great deal for members of its loyalty program.

AMC Stubs members will receive 50% off the adult evening ticket all day long beginning Wednesday, July 9th.

This new offer is in addition to the company's deep Tuesday discounts for Stubs members.

This 50% ticket price applies to all base ticket prices, with extra charges for formats like IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and Real 3D. This promotional ticket is also good for new releases.

AMC CEO Adam Aron says in a statement about the new program,

At AMC, we’ve gone to great lengths to create the preeminent moviegoing environment at our AMC theatres, including offering more comfortable seating, more premium formats, and better food and beverage offerings. Now, we are also pleased to make moviegoing more affordable, with our new ‘50% Off Wednesdays’ effort.'

So, look through those new release dates and start planning which movies you're going to be checking out for half price on Wednesday for the second half of the summer once you become an AMC Stubs Insider member!
