We are getting closer to Halloween and that means the season of haunts and ghost stories. Throw in some trick or treating for the kids and Halloween can be fun for many out there. Of course there are some people who like exploring the haunted side of things. Go to many large cities and you will see "haunted tours". Are they really haunted? Hard to say. In Texas, we have cities that offer those tours, but we also have historic places that are reportedly very haunted.

Including many hotels. And one of the most haunted hotel's in America is right here in Texas.

Built in 1924, it was originally used as a Medical Arts Building that housed doctors offices and a hospital. In 1976, the building was converted into office space, but was then transformed into the hotel it is today in 1984. According to the hotel's website, it is believed that at one time a section of the building was devoted to caring for those with psychological issues.

The Emily Morgan also stands on the site where Texian and Mexican forces fought each other during the Battle of the Alamo.
