Will Jason Aldean's Wife Brittany Perform Duet on Tour?

Hot on the heels of Jason Aldean’s Songs About Us album release on April 24, I sat down with the country superstar and got him to admit that a special guest may join him on the Songs About Us tour this summer.

Track No. 11 on the new record, “Easier Gone,” features his wife, Brittany Aldean, harmonizing with him on vocals.

That’s what I set out to find when Aldean joined me on Taste of Country Nights, and his answer revealed more than it didn’t — if that makes sense.

He said, “I would say it’s probably a very good possibility that you’ll see her out at some point this summer on the tour.”

Aldean explained the circumstances in which Brittany might join him onstage: “She’s not out at every show if the kids are in school or doing whatever, but this summer, while they’re out of school and we’re touring, it’s probably a possibility that you’ll see her a little bit.”

As Aldean told me this, he was smiling and almost giving a little wink, as if he knows the answer for sure but wants to keep some of it a surprise.

The fiery duet is about a breakup. It’s a slow-burning song that explores the emotional difficulty of running into an ex and realizing that leaving was easier than staying.

Interestingly, after years of fans asking for a duet from the happily married couple, the one they chose to record is a breakup song. Still, Brittany sounds great alongside her husband.
