A man on Reddit complained that his wife insists on getting him gifts he simply doesn't want.

"So I had a birthday two months ago. My wife asked for ideas for presents, so I gave her several. Later on, she asked if I would like a coffee maker, and I said no. I drink instant coffee. I told her I had a coffee maker in the past (Keurig) that routinely broke down, and that I constantly had to fix. It became a chore," he began.

Meanwhile, for the past five years, his mother-in-law has given him a Yeti insulated coffee cup for Christmas, and he hasn't used any of them.

"I even asked my wife to explain to my mother-in-law so my collection would end. Then comes my birthday... I open my two gifts. It's a Keurig coffee maker and a Yeti. Both gifts from my wife," the man continued.

Out of frustration, he told his wife to give him the receipts for the gits so he can return them and get something he will actually use.

In the comments section, users expressed their confusion regarding the bizarre gifting habits of the man's wife and mother-in-law.

"You said you didn't want it and she still got it? that's just weird," one person wrote.

"Return what she gave you and start returning the Yeti mugs too," another user commented.

"It''s strange that you said you don't want one and she still got you one. I'd return it too," someone else chimed in.
