
Scooter Gunman Wounds Two in Waco, Affidavit Says
Waco man Davien Daylon Franco has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to KWTX.

New Details in Waco Shooting: Affidavit Says Gunman Was on a Scooter
Franco was charged following allegations that he was involved in a shooting with two individuals riding in a truck on August 24, 2005. According to police, Franco was riding an electric scooter when he allegedly fired shots at the pickup truck. The incident occurred around 11 p.m.
New Court Records: Scooter Rider Fired Gun, Injuring Two in Waco
Officers later determined that the victims had been shot near the 400 block of S. University Park Drive. One of the victims told police that two suspects riding electric scooters had approached his truck earlier that evening. According to the affidavit, the suspects asked the victim for his name, and one of them was later identified as Franco, who then fired at the truck.

The affidavit also stated that the one male victim was shot in the arm, while a female victim was shot in the stomach and right leg. Fortunately, both victims are expected to recover, police said. As of September 16, Franco has been arrested and booked into McLennan County Jail. He has not posted bail, and the investigation is still ongoing. According to Waco police, there is currently no information available about the second individual involved in the shooting.
