
Charges Upgraded to Murder After South Austin Shooting Victim Passes Away
An Austin man named Samuel Boardman was re-arrested after his girlfriend, identified as 45-year-old Denise Tarina, died several days after being shot in their home, according to the Austin Police Department (APD), according to KVUE.

What Happended On January 26 On The 5900 Block Of Wagon Bend?
APD stated that officers responded to a reported shooting at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26, in the 5900 block of Wagon Bend. A caller reported that a woman had been shot inside the home and was bleeding from the head, and also told police that the suspected shooter was nearby.
What Changed Boardman's Charges?
Denise was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Samuel Boardman was later found walking away from the residence and was detained. Investigators determined that Boardman was inside the home with Denise when the shots were fired and allegedly fled the scene on foot. Boardman was initially arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on January 27 after posting a $5,000 bond. Denise died the following day from her injuries. Police have since issued a first-degree murder warrant, and Boardman has been re-arrested in connection with her death.
