The holidays are right around the corner, which means people are coming to visit Texas. Even though Texas is a very large state, not everyone flies here—some people love to take the scenic route and drive. According to Houstonia,   Texas  has some of the most dangerous highways for holiday traffic. A high fatality rate was taken in 2022 showing a reported fatality rate of 1.55 deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. Even though that was consider a decrease it still resulted with over 4,000 deaths.
