According to austintexas.gov, emergency rental assistance is possible for Texans, who are rental tenants, who could be possibly facing an eviction at their residence. The housing department will provide not only assistance for rent, but also moving, storage, and relocation costs to keep people in their homes, which will, of course, prevent Texans from experiencing homelessness, and will assist with households in case of emergency events like national disasters. Texans will need to see exactly what their gross annual household income is to see if they are eligible for rental assistance. For each household, the number of individuals in it will be different you can see the charts here. To apply for the assistance, you will need to use the online portal by clicking here and you are asked to only submit one application per household.
