Nobody likes it when somebody skips a line in Texas.

We've all been there before: we're waiting for something. Whether it be food or in line for something exciting. And then...somebody cuts ahead of everybody in the line.

Now, when the people are together or it's a family waiting, it makes sense right? But when it's one single person trying to get ahead of everyone else, it certainly is upsetting to say the least. Especially when the person is trying to get in front of people who have been waiting for an extended period of time.

When people are traveling via the airport, it's even more annoying because are trying to get onto the plane to make their way home or to their destination. When somebody skips, it holds up the boarding process. In turn, it makes everyone upset.

How Is American Airlines Trying To Stop People Cutting In Line In Texas Airports?

According to the New York Post, the system works like this: when a passenger walks up to board their flight, they present their ticket. Following the scanning of the ticket, if it's discovered the person is trying to jump ahead in line, the system will not allow the person to move forward onto the plane, and stopping them from boarding until their zone is officially called.

In a statement from American’s Senior Vice President of Airport Operations Julie Rath, the system hasn't had any negative reactions:

“The initial positive response from customers and team members has exceeded our expectations."

This system is coming to Austin-Bergstrom and other airports in the nation as well. So, thinking about cutting the line in a Texas airport? Best not to do so!
