Why Killeen Neighborhoods Are Begging Developers to Build Something Different

It's not the small business owners they're concerned about. It's the types of businesses continuing to pop up throughout the city. In fact, if you ask anyone in Killeen what they no longer want to see built, chances are car washes will be at the top of the list.

Build Something We Need In Killeen

There are more than 20 car washes throughout the city. Keep in mind, Killeen is a big city, but it's not that big, and residents are getting tired of seeing them everywhere. You see a new building going up and get excited, hoping it might be another shopping center or maybe even a CAVA. But when you find out it's just another car wash, it can be pretty disappointing. Residents have also expressed frustration about other types of businesses, such as the number of cash advance locations throughout the city. However, car washes seem to remain at the top of the list of things locals love to complain about.

Will Killeen Build More Car Washes?

I can't help but wonder if, as Killeen continues to expand, the growing number of car washes is simply a response to the city's increasing population and demand. But if that's not the case, maybe it's time to start bringing some different types of establishments to the area. After all, growth should mean more variety, not just more car washes!
