
Killeen’s Latest: Suspect Arrested Following High-Speed Chase & Collision
A suspect has been taken into custody following a serious multi-vehicle crash in Killeen that involved a woman and a small infant, according to KCENT. Police stated that officers with the Violent Crime Action Team attempted to stop a white Subaru SUV at approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 18, near the 600 block of South W.S. Young Drive, as part of a possible narcotics investigation. When the driver refused to stop, the Killeen Police Department initiated a high-speed chase through the southern part of the city.

The suspect drove toward Trimmer Drive before turning onto Lowe’s Boulevard, where the vehicle was involved in two separate accidents. The first was a minor two-vehicle collision while exiting a parking lot. Moments later, a more serious crash occurred at an intersection, involving another car that was carrying a woman and her infant child. Emergency personnel treated the woman and the infant at the scene, and both declined transport to the hospital. The driver of a pickup truck involved in the crash sustained injuries. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
