According to The Dallas Express, a Killeen native, Kris Romar Hall, has been arrested for human smuggling. Lieutenant Chris Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated that Hall is a convicted sex offender who allegedly attempted to smuggle three undocumented individuals at one time.

Killeen Sex Offender Arrested in Border Bust

The arrest occurred overnight in Maverick County when a Texas DPS trooper stopped a Honda CR-V. Video footage shows the trooper asking Hall for identification. While doing so, the trooper looked into the back seat of the vehicle and noticed three undocumented individuals. Hall was immediately placed in handcuffs, and the individuals were removed from the vehicle and seated on the curb. Hall was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons, according to law enforcement statements. The three undocumented individuals were later turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

What Other Charges Is The Killeen Resident Facing?

Hall was previously convicted in 2007 on three counts of oral copulation with a victim under the age of 14, making him a registered sex offender. He has also recently violated two statutes under California Penal Code 288(a), resulting in additional incarceration. Hall is currently a resident of Killeen and has been registered with the Killeen Police Department since November 2025. At this time, no additional information has been released regarding this case.
