Killeen Mayor Joseph Solomon Hosting Historic First Faith-Based Forum
On Monday, August 24, Killeen Mayor Joseph Solomon has invited church leaders and congregational leaders of all faiths to attend the first Mayor's Faith-Based Innovation Forum. This event will take place at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, located at 3601 S. W.S. Young Drive, and will be held in the Lone Star Suite.

What Is The Purpose Of This Event?
The purpose of this forum is not only to build partnerships between the City of Killeen and the faith community, but also to provide an opportunity for fellowship, learn more about city programs and community resources, and work together to strengthen our community. Most importantly, it's about building relationships that better serve our residents. I think this event is absolutely amazing. Bringing together faith, fellowship, and members of our community to not only get to know one another but also share their experiences and their faith is a beautiful thing. We don't have to celebrate our faith only on Sundays. We should absolutely get to know one another and do it as often as possible.
Why Does Mayor Solomon Think This Event Is Needed?
Mayor Solomon said that Killeen's faith community has played a major role in serving residents and strengthening neighborhoods. He also believes that faith communities not only provide hope, but they bring people together every day. This forum will be an opportunity to strengthen those partnerships, share resources, and have meaningful conversations about how we can continue making a positive impact throughout the city.
If you'd like to attend, you'll need to RSVP, but the event itself is open to the public. Come out, be a part of your community, and help build stronger connections with those around you.
