Waco’s Iconic Wave Pool is Getting Two Brand-New, World-Class Skateparks
According to Skateboarding.com, Texas will get a chance to have fun in the sun and catch some waves. Swatch Nines Surf and Skate will return to the city from October 8 through October 10. This is very exciting for the city of Waco, as the event will kick off a three-year partnership designed to bring fun and excitement back to Texas through 2028.

Surfing Meets Skateboarding In Waco
Mixing skateboarding and surfing together is not something I have necessarily heard of before, but I think it is a very unique concept, something all Central Texans can get behind and enjoy. To be honest, it does not matter whether you can skateboard or surf. The event is really about the community coming together and having fun.
What Are The Plans For 2027?
By 2027, Waco Surf will have the pleasure of being home to two skate parks, both of which will include Swatch Nines’ input and inspiration from the riders and builders behind the event’s innovative features. We are talking BMX meets “hang loose” culture in a way that brings together action sports fans of all kinds. If you are looking to try something different and exciting, Waco, Texas, is where you will want to be this year.
How Does This Help Waco?
The partnership is expected to attract visitors from across the country while also giving local residents a chance to experience a one-of-a-kind atmosphere centered around creativity, sports, and community engagement. Events like this can help boost tourism, support local businesses, and provide entertainment opportunities for families and young people alike. With surfing, skating, BMX culture, and live energy all combined into one experience, Swatch Nines Surf and Skate promises to be one of the most memorable events to hit Central Texas in years.
