The City of Temple announced the promotion earlier this week, and the community is expressing excitement about the transition. Reynolds has served as Chief of the Temple Police Department since June 1, 2020. Before that, he was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he worked as a radioman, firefighter, and nationally certified emergency medical technician. Needless to say, Reynolds is well-qualified for the new role.
