What Is A Credit Card Skimming Scheme?
As revealed by KLTV, Fabrizio Slatineanu was discovered to have been apart of scheme that has grown over the years: a credit card skimming scheme. Per the FBI, the scam involves a skimmer on something, whether it be a gas station pump or on a bank ATM.
When a person unknowingly uses a terminal with a skimmer on it, the data on their card is taken. This data can be sent to the scammer, which they use for their own purposes. This is what Slatineanu was a part of.

Slatineanu's Actions While A Part Of The Scheme
KLTV reports that Slatineanu stole a massive amount of money from persons in Smith County. The amount reported was totaled over $280,000. Slatineanu was caught, and recently faced trial for his actions. Having been found guilty, his sentencing was recently held.
At the hearing, multiple victims from the scheme testified how their money being stolen caused many issues in the personal life. This in turn caused Judge Austin Reeve Jackson, overseer of the punishment, to make the time in prison longer than one would expect.
A portion of Judge Austin Reeve Jackson's were as follows, from KLTV:
“Because of Mr. Slatineanu’s actions, innocent victims were left unable to pay their rent or put food on their table, and that’s inexcusable...We heard testimony about how they couldn’t do things with their kids because their money was suddenly gone.”
Slatineanu's punishment was life in prison. If more information is reported, we will have more information here.
