
Why Will Texas’ Starbucks Require A Person To Buy Something To Stay Inside The Business?
Every business in Texas has certain rules when you go to them. They could be silly, like a sign saying "Remember to smile while shopping here!" Or it could be something more serious, reminding customers there's things they can't do while inside the business.
All of us at one point have either accidently violated the policies of a business, or inadvertently forgotten about them. When that happens, we could find ourselves asked to leave. For those who frequent Starbucks, things will be changing around the shop.
What led to these changes, and what are they exactly? Here's what you need to know.

What Are The Changes Coming To Starbucks Located In Texas?
As revealed by USA Today, back in 2018, Starbucks enacted a new rule allowing people into their stores without having to purchase an item. This came about after a store manager falsely called law enforcement on two black individuals who were waiting on a third person to conduct a meeting regarding business.
Now, seven years later, Starbucks in putting in a new rule that requires somebody to buy an item to be on the premises of the business. Per Jaci Anderson, a spokesperson for Starbucks:
"We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our stores...Implementing a Coffeehouse Code of Conduct is something most retailers already have... This means our cafes, patios, and restrooms are for customers and partners. By setting clear expectations for behavior and use of our spaces, we can create a better environment for everyone."
