
Longtime Waco city worker facing charges after multiple minors come forward
Aaron Gerard Tatum, a longtime employee of the City of Waco Street Maintenance Department, has been charged with a series of severe crimes involving three minors. According to KWTX, the charges include continuous sexual abuse of a child, five counts of sexual assault of a child, one count of prohibited sexual conduct, and two counts of indecency with a child.

While public records confirm Tatum’s employment with the City of Waco, neither the city’s communications office nor human resources would confirm his status or provide a statement. Court documents allege a disturbing pattern of abuse spanning several years:

First Victim: A teenage boy was allegedly assaulted on dozens of occasions over several years. Documents claim Tatum used foreign objects during at least two of the assaults. Second Victim: A young girl was allegedly touched inappropriately on multiple occasions and sexually abused. The abuse reportedly began when she was only seven years old. Third Victim: A young girl was allegedly touched inappropriately and abused more than 100 times. According to the arrest warrant, the abuse began when she was 11 years old.
Tatum was arrested on December 30 and remains behind bars. His total bond is set at $475,000.
