The wait is almost over for Waffle House to open in Waco, Texas, according to KWTX. Even though Waffle House is something many people from Georgia love to talk about, Texans also love a good late-night stop at Waffle House. Whether it's after the club, a night out with friends at the bar, or simply craving breakfast, Waffle House has always been a go-to spot for many of us. The only problem was that the closest location was in Austin.

You no longer have to take the back roads or head down I-35 toward Salado because the deal has been finalized for the first-ever Waffle House location in Waco. The new restaurant will be located at 2301 South New Road.

A couple of months ago, the Waco City Council confirmed that Waffle House would be opening at the location. Although the company didn't make an official announcement, it allowed the city to reveal the news during the council meeting. Now, ground is beginning to break for the beloved restaurant chain. I know plenty of people who can't wait to enjoy an All-Star Special right here in the comfort of Waco.
