On Friday, the largest private bakery in the United States filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection, and is trying to shed almost $2 billion in debt. Hearthside Food Solutions is responsible for making so many of your household snack and breakfast favorites, but they also produce far more products that influence our food consumption every day.

What's next for Hearthside employees and customers?
After filing for bankruptcy in Texas, the courts have granted initial approval to continue operating business as usual, and they hope to emerge from this bankruptcy quickly in the new year. Hopefully this means no immediate closures, layoffs, or disruption in their food production.
