Austin, Texas has once again defended the honor of all Central Texas when it comes to the quality of tacos we have to not only enjoy, but also offer the best in the great Republic of Texas. There are some who believe the best tacos in the state can only be found in the El Paso area, or within the thirty mile zone surrounding the birthplace of Tex-Mex, San Antonio.

San Antonio tacos are pretty darn good and if you check out the above link, you will have to disregard the fact that SA's best restaurant not only does not offer tacos, but it is not even Tex-Mex.
Austin really does excel at two culinary options with the obvious first being Tex-Mex, and the other type of place is also likely to form a line around the block because it is clearly bar-b-que. Here is an odd attribute of mine, I whole heartedly agree that good bar-b-que is always worth the wait, but no matter how long the taco line is you will always wait way less.
