San Antonio, Texas Police Department recently arrested a resident of theirs that allegedly drove across the state to meet up with a minor they had been communicating with via social media, and proceeded to kidnap and sexually assault the victim before driving back across Texas with the child.

According to this KHOU article, the young girl, a resident of Conroe, met up with the alleged man near her home at a local restaurant. From there, the man took her phone, smashed it, and threw it out of the window of his vehicle before taking her to a nearby hotel.

As you can see from the map, the accused, 47 year old Jamie Ray Rencher of San Antonio, drove over 200 miles from his Texas home to the community of Conroe, north of Houston. Authorities are now saying based on Rencher's past arrest record, and most likely from the way this crime allegedly occurred, that it is highly likely he has victimized many others.

The San Antonio Police are asking anyone with any information to come forward as the investigation is on going.
