After local favorite, Kirk Baxley, John Slaughter will perform at the Bloomin' Temple Festival on Saturday night, May 10.

John started his country career at a young age, learning Western-style swing violin from his uncle at the age of 9. By 16, he was playing with some of the best country bands from  his hometown of Houston.

John is no stranger to the stage, playing 150 shows a year. For the past four years, he has played the guitar, mandolin, violin and sang harmonies for the Roger Creager Band. He's written two #1 songs: I Love Being Lonesome by Roger Creager and Pray for Rain by Cody Johnson.

After years of fine-tuning his skills, Slaughter is branching out on his own, and we welcome him to the stage at Bloomin' Temple Saturday night.

Be sure to check out his new single Ghost Town.
