The body of a Killeen man who disappeared during spring break in Salado has been found on South Padre island.

KWTX reports authorities found 20 year old Jordan Britten, dead, Thursday in a marshy area between Schlitterbahn and the Chapel by the Sea.  That word comes from city spokesman Adrian Rodriguez.

Britten was last seen late Friday night or early Saturday morning after attending a concert at Schlitterbahn.

Earlier police said they found drugs in Britten's car which was parked near Schlitterbahn.

Britten, a student at Central Texas College, was reported missing on Monday after friends returned home from a spring break trip to South Padre Island without him.

He was last heard from late Saturday afternoon, according to a posting Wednesday on a Facebook page created to find him.

Britten was last seen late Friday night or early Saturday morning at the Ultimate Music Experience concert at Schlitterbahn, where he got separated from his two friends and lost his keys.

He was later seen walking down a road about a mile from where his car was parked, the posting said.

"He told several people he lost his friends and they reported he looked out of it," the posting said.

He placed a phone call early Saturday afternoon and sent a text at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, the posting said.

Britten's mother, Ilana, said Tuesday she didn't find out until Monday that her son had gotten separated from his friends.

Police in Killeen and South Padre Island are investigating.
