Killeen Police Searching for Suspect After Monday Afternoon Chase
One suspect was in custody but another was on the loose Monday night after a traffic pursuit in Killeen.
According to the Killeen Police Department, officers tried to stop a car on Old FM 440 around 5:30 PM, but the driver sped off.
The chase continued on to the area of Bull Run Drive and Fieldcrest, where the driver finally stopped. The driver and a passenger then jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers conducted a search of the area and were eventually able to find one of the suspects, but the other got away.
An investigation continued Monday night, at which time police had not released the name of the suspect in custody or a description of the suspect at large.
