A 64-year-old Killeen man has been charged after he reportedly sent nude photos of his ex-girlfriend to her pastor as revenge for breaking his heart.

Chelsea Edwards with our partners at News 10 reports that Ralph Rivera Majica was arrested Tuesday, May 7 and charged with publication of intimate visual material.

Majica came to investigators' attention on April 1 after his ex accused him of sending two lewd photos of her to her pastor in Reno, Nevada. The pastor reportedly confirmed that he received the images via Facebook back on February 24. Majica was reportedly in one of the photos, and the pastor recognized him from an earlier meeting.

Bell County Jail records indicated Majica was still in custody late Wednesday morning in lieu of bonds totaling $20,000.

Guys, it's called "revenge porn", and besides being petty and scummy, it's also illegal.

You may have heard reports that it's not illegal in Texas, but that's not at all true. Texas' current revenge porn law was passed in 2015. A court of appeals ruled that the law was unconstitutional shortly after it passed because the language was broad enough to potentially include people who shared lewd photos, even if they were unaware of where they came from.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that lawmakers are working to revise the language, but that you can still get in serious trouble for sharing lewd images (including video) of someone without their consent.

Revenge porn is a state jail felony crime that could net you two years in jail and a fine of $10,000.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
