Tis' the season for lights, lights, and more lights. 'Lights of West' is now open in West, Texas.

It's officially Christmas season, and there is no shortage of Christmas light displays happening all over Central Texas. Now we can add "Lights of West" - a drive thru Christmas light park at 2818 Wiggins Road in West - to the list.

Tom Patterson, who co-owns Lights of West, tells Jack Allen of KXXV Channel 25,
"I think people are starved for the Christmas spirit this time of year. It's been a tough year for a lot of people, and there's a hope that comes from Christmas like no other."

According to the Lights of West website, visitors will see more than one million lights along the one mile plus drive, 70 Christmas trees, and over 100 scenes. There's also a winter wonderland, Santa Claus and his elves, a 100+ foot antique Christmas train, and a photo opportunity with the big man himself - a 20-foot Santa Clause.

Wondering what it costs? One car load of 8 people or less is $35, while 9-15 people is $55. There are also concessions available.

What better way to drive through the park then with a bag of Christmas blend caramel corn? A small bag will cost you $6, while $10 will get you a large. Put that together with a $2 cup of hot chocolate and you're all set.

The Lights of West is open to the public and offers drive-thru hours Sunday through Thursday 6-10pm and Friday and Saturday 6-11pm.
