Times are hard, but theft is not the answer.

According to a report from our news partners at KWTX, police are looking for two women who are suspects in a theft that occurred at the H-E-B grocery store in Woodway on April 27.

With the pandemic of COVID-19 many people have lost their jobs, and are facing hard times. That being said, there are churches and other organizations who are doing their best to help those suffering by organizing emergency food drives.

The police have released surveillance photos of the women leaving the store, and you can see that their cart is literally stuffed! In a statement to KWTX, police stated that the groceries were valued at over $300.

The two suspects were able to escape in a white Chrysler van with California license plates before officers arrived on the scene. If you have information about the suspects or this particular incident please contact Woodway police at (254) 772-4470.
