Local Teen Who Saved Elderly Neighbor From Fire Honored

17-year-old Damian Richardson of Waco is credited with saving his 69-year-old neighbor from a fire was honored at a Waco Fire Department luncheon for his quick thinking and selflessness.

Richardson had noticed that flames from a shed fire and spread to his neighbor's home. While others knocked on the front door, Damian knew his 69-year-old neighbor used the side door. He was able to get into the house and alert the sleeping homeowner.

Damien ate at Firehouse Subs in Waco with the Firefighters. There was even cake!
