Apparently, country newcomer Maren Morris and The Voice hopeful Mary Sarah go to the same church, and Sarah is hoping her faith will get her into the fan-voted Top 8 on the singing reality show.

During Monday's (May 9) live The Voice broadcast, Mary Sarah took the stage and performed her own rendition of Morris' current single, "My Church."

She served the song justice by precisely executing the performance. Her powerhouse voice reached the entire audience, and she made it clear why she is still in the competition.

Clad in a rhinestone vest and black dazzling cowboy boots, Mary Sarah looked the part of a country singer with her short blonde locks and glowing skin. Some might even compare her look to Carrie Underwood. And just as Underwood does, Mary Sarah more than sang, she entertained.

During her time on stage, the hopeful kept the audience engaged by making it feel like she was singing directly to them. She maintained stage presence just as a professional would, utilizing her space as she bopped and glided across the entire floor. Her performance was so electric she even had her coach, Blake Shelton, dancing around in his seat while singing along.

Fans have until noon on Tuesday (May 10) to decide if they want Mary Sarah to continue on to the next round. The live results show will air later that night at 8PM ET on NBC.

Shelton also debuted his duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani on Monday night's episode, and the performance of "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" was romantic.
