Most Popular Costumes of 2022 Nationwide

AT&T researched the most googled Halloween costume in each state, and then combined information from DIYs, Rent, Reader’s Digest, and Visual Capitalist to come up with the most popular costume trends for 2022.

It's the year of the King for Mississippi and Nevada. Elvis Presley costumes have been showing up in a lot of internet searches for those two states, possibly because of this year's movie about the iconic entertainer.

Witch costumes were searched most frequently in a total of eleven different states, perhaps due to - you guessed it - Hocus Pocus 2.

It would seem that the final season of Walking Dead, along with all of its spin-offs, would cause more interest in zombie costumes, but only West Virginia seems to be thinking about a piping hot meal of brains this year.

It seems that the Lone Star State is going back to a classic for Halloween this year. Dressing up like a cat apparently never goes out of style, as it's the most googled costume in a dozen states, including Texas.
