One Fort Hood soldier is dead and another is injured after a motorcycle collision Saturday.

20-year-old Jameel Barron of Killeen was pronounced dead at the scene around 4:30 p.m.  after his motorcycle collided with that of 24-year-old Stephanie Young on Farm-to-Market 2268. The two vehicles were traveling eastbound when they entered a curve and drifted into the westbound lane, colliding with one another. Young suffered broken bones and is in stable condition at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Both motorcyclists were wearing helmets, authorities said.
