The Copperas Cove Police Department (CCPD) has confirmed that a 38-year-old man, Brett Dudley Harden Jr., has sadly passed after a vehicular accident involving his motorcycle and an SUV. The accident occured on Monday. Mr. Harden was a resident of Copperas Cove, and his family has been notified according to CCPD.

The accident took place along the 1800 block of North FM 116 at North Point Park. Through the CCPD's investigation it has been determined that the SUV was traveling north when it began to turn left across traffic into a parking lot. The driver of the SUV failed to yield to Mr. Harden as Harden was traveling south towards the SUV.

Bystanders Attempted CPR; Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead at Hospital

There were some bystanders that attempted to provide CPR on Mr. Harden until paramedics arrived. He was then transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical center. It was at the Army Medical center that he was Mr. Harden was pronounced dead.

Investigation Underway; No Charges Filed Yet

At this point there haven't been any charges filed, and the investigation into the accident is still underway. The police have made a statement saying that at this point there is nothing to indicate that the driver of the SUV was under the influence of any intoxicating substances.
