New Movies This Week

The Oscars are coming up this Sunday night.   Make the popcorn, gather up the Movie Aficionados in your house, and place your bets.   You know, maybe you should go see all the best pictures nominees this weekend, so you can make an educated selection.…or not!  Maybe go see something new instead?    Here is what’s new at the Box Office this weekend. First we have Dark Skies rated PG-13.   This is the premise, the aliens are here and they are not as nice as ET!  Stars Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dakota Goyo .

Dwayne Johnson is back in action… with Snitch rated R, this time he must save his teenage son who is wrongly accused of a drug distribution crime.   The story is inspired by true events, which could mean the writer saw the headline and made the rest up.  Anyway, Dewayne  makes a deal with the U.S. attorney to work as an undercover informant and infiltrate a drug cartel on a dangerous mission -- risking everything, including his family and his own life.  Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jon Bernthal

I think I will go with the Rock this weekend, Sorry, I mean  Dewayne, and pick Snitch to take number one. Psych!   I don't think either one will do it... Identity Thief  starring Melissa McCarthy, will be number one for the second weekend in a row!
