But where did it begin for young D.J, Gober?

How Did Gober Start To Love Boxing?

Per D.J.'s parents, seeing boxing inspired him to start being involved in the sport. According to his mother, Brittney Gober:

“He used to box when he was younger, and we always used to watch fights. He was like ‘I really want to start boxing.’ So, we didn’t know if he was going to take it serious, but he’s been boxing ever since.”

His trainers also revealed to KWTX, he's already had a great start. As said by one of his trainers, Eric Furlow:

“That’s flavor, I call it the flavor. He’s got a lot of flavor to him, you know what I mean? Ain’t no telling what you’ll see DJ get in there and do. He makes it go, he makes it go.”
