PETA Frees Animal Crackers From Cages
Leave it to he activists at PETA to take on Nabisco's Barnum's Animal Crackers. We are all used to the packaging by now, circus animals in a circus train car. In a letter that CBS News got a hold of you can read the extreme animals rights group complaints regarding the famous crackers packaging.
"Given the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals and the public's swelling opposition to the exploitation of animals used for entertainment, we urge Nabisco to update its packaging in order to show animals who are free to roam in their natural habitats,"
PETA's letter was heard loud and clear. Nabisco re-designed the packaging. When you go purchase your favorite childhood snack on Amazon you'll notice that there aren't any more bars keeping the animals caged in. Another design that is in the works has animals roaming around the Savannah and they look like they're about to drop the hottest mix tape of all time.
