The blood pressure is coming back down to earth for the staff at Skylark Field in Killeen after a small plane needed to perform a belly flop landing Friday morning.

All persons on board the plane walked away uninjured. KWTX reports that Killeen's Director of Aviation said the plane landed without its landing gear deployed at about 8:30 am. Once the plane was safely on the ground the airport staff lowered the landing gear and towed the plane off the runway.

The FAA and the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating.
