While Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate all that we are thankful for (i.e friends, family, jobs, etc.) the best part of Thanksgiving is the food. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, and more all wind up on my plate at least twice during the holiday celebration. Interestingly enough, the Thanksgiving foods that I think to be the most popular, may actually not be popular at all. General Mills did a study about America's Favorite Thanksgiving Dish by state - an believe me, some of it is definitely weird.

In many states, their favorite dishes were Thanksgiving staples. For instance, the California dish was mac n' cheese, the Delaware dish was sweet potato casserole, Louisiana was corn bread dressing, and New Mexico went with pecan pie.

But not all state dishes were typical Thanksgiving dishes. Wyoming's most popular dish was pork chops, Missouri was a breakfast casserole, and Arizona's dish was shrimp.

Well what about Texas? It's definitely either Turkey or dressing right? WRONG. The most popular Thanksgiving dish in Texas according to General Mills is.... Chicken Spaghetti?
