Killeen attorney Brett Pritchard filed a motion last week to have Bell County Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown removed from the bench, and now a Kerr County judge has set a date for a hearing.

Our news partner, KWTX, reports that 216th District Court Judge Stephen Abels has set a date of March 9 at 1 PM at Belton's 169th District Court.

Brown made national headlines earlier this month after setting Killeen murder suspect Antonio Marquis Willis' bond at $4 billion. Brown said she set the bond so high to make a point about exorbitant bonds. Her colleagues were not amused, and State District Judge John Gautt reduced Willis' bond to $150,000.

Willis posted bond and was released on Monday, February 13. He is the prime suspect in the December 21 shooting death of Donte Javon Samuels.
