Governor Rick Perry's mugshot has gone viral and even has its own hashtag.

Perry was booked and fingerprinted at a Travis County courthouse Tuesday following last week's grand jury indictment charging him with abuse of power. Perry, who has dismissed the case as a political ploy, looks cool and relaxed in his mugshot. The photo prompted the creation of the hashtag "smugshot", which has been trending on major websites since the picture's release.

Perry's arraignment is set for Friday, but he will not be required to attend. His indictment on counts of abuse of official capacity and coercion of a public servant steam from a threat to veto $7.5 million in state funding for the state's Public Integrity Unit after Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg refused to resign her position after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated.
