The family of Rolly Correa and the community in Salado are mourning the death of the retired Constable who was born in 1948 and died on July 31 due to complications from a liver transplant. His wife, Beth, mentioned in his obituary Rolly's final months were filled with courage and the same steadfastness that defined his life.

Correa's unwavering commitment to service permeated every aspect of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he was a retired Game Warden, Bell County Constable as well as the Missions and Outreach Director for Salado United Methodist Church. He was not only invested in his neighbors in Central Texas but also in mission trips and service to people in Haiti, Belize and in Africa.

On Friday, August 8, Salado honored Correa with a memorial procession from Broecker's Funeral Home to Salado Methodist Church and then a celebration of life. The Salado Volunteer Fire Department provided a great tribute as well, remembering Correa for the unwavering support whenever they needed help after a bad call or to help with traffic. They remembered him as a source of comfort, dedication, and friendship.

The family has stated that they prefer donations to the Salado United Methodist Church Missions and Outreach Fund as opposed to flowers for Correa's memory. This, according to the family, is what Rolly Correa would have wanted.

Rolly defined his life with service, faith, and goodness. As for those who knew him best: he will never be forgotten.
